Greens and Word of Wisdom and St. Patrick's Day!

Greens are Good teachings from St. Patrick's Day!
God, Wisdom and Good Luck are Related!
Researchers have announced in the
Microgreens (Sprouts) contain up to 40 times higher levels good nutrients than their mature green counterparts.
Although nutritional claims about microgreens, green drinks and sprouts abound on the Internet, this scientific study is the first to confirm everyone's intuitive ideas!  "Thank Ye Old Lucky Charms!"
We, familar with the Old Testament, have all known it for a long time that PULSE was good stuff. Remember, PULSE - the stuff that Daniel, Shadrach;  Meshach; and  Abed-nego ate .
Daniel and his buddies were taken captive into Babylon, They were to be trained to be the "The Kings Men" along with a number of others young boys. But Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego refused King Nebuchadnezzars rich food, and rather opted for "PULSE" and water.
Pulse is explained under the highlighted section of the scriptures on LDS.ORG as "foods made of seeds, grains, etc." (Daniel 1:8-20).  "Pulse" in Russian, and many other languages is translated as
vegetables!
(Daniel the Word of Wisdom and my Testimony, Ensign March, 2003)
I mean you can make "poppy seed muffins" or "sunflower seed cake" but if your going to make sense of something that is a GRAIN, SEED and it is called "PULSE or  in other biblical translations Vegetables it is most assuredly
SPROUTED, each on of those ingredients can be and must have been sprouted.  I used to think PULSE was mush, much like mush or porridge or the oatmeal cereal you eat in the morning.  But, now, as I have taken the time to study the stuff, I realize - The  "Biblical Super-food" was simply sprouts!
In the Word of Wisdom
it states that every wholesome herb and fruit are for
"the use of man" and that meats “are to be used sparingly,” and that “all grain is good for the food as is also fruit of the vine” (see D&C 89:10–12, 16).
The Lord promises that all who follow these commandments would “find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures” (D&C 89:19)

Micogreen Research States, according to Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Again, no surprise, going back to the Word of Wisdom - D&C 89:18. 20-21 "And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones; And shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint."  And I, the Lord, give unto them a promise, that the destroying angel shall pass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them. Amen!

A Little Goes a Long Way

Experts say the flavor of microgreens are so intense, that only a little goes a long way to enhance a meal!
Until recently, commercially grown microgreens have only been available to chefs, who use them as flavor accents and garnishes for soups, salads, and sandwiches. I am glad that they are in my Green Drink, I can tell the difference, even before the research - but, it's nice to have the scientific backing!
Contains organic green powders from:
Barley grass, Wheat grass, Alfalfa Leaf, Kale, Spinach, Broccoli Sprouts
stuff that you can read and recognize...
Sweetened with Lo Han berry - (another super food)
The best tasting most nutritious green drink available!
I drink it because I like it - you will be happily surprised.

partake of a wee bit of the God Given luck yourself!

Makeup Makes You Sick

Could your Makeup be the Culprit of your Sickness?

San Gabriel Valley Tribune:  3/13/14
The Center for Science and Environment, a nonprofit public interest research and advocacy organizations based in New Delhi, India, released a study in January that examined the effects of makeup containing heavy metals, which includes most major brands, and found them to have adverse effects to the body and its well-being.
Dr. John Selarno, of the Selarno Center in New York has been researching Make-up, and it's harmful effects for over twenty five years.
"Salerno said his center does a lot of testing and finds that heavy metals in makeup can contribute to such conditions as acne, wrinkles, memory loss, mood swings, headaches and cardiovascular and neurological problems because skin absorbs what’s applied to it, including heavy metals and toxins, which have the potential of entering the bloodstream."

CNN Reports : "Scientists have shown that chemicals in cosmetics can pass through the skin, into the bloodstream and internal organs, so we should be more aware of what is being absorbed into our skin."

Talc is one of the worst culprits, though it is something contained within most makeups.  Talc actually contains asbestos-like fibers.

"Talc particles have been shown to cause tumors in the ovaries and lungs of cancer victims. In 1973 the FDA drafted a resolution that would limit the amount of asbestos-like fibers in cosmetic-grade talc. According to the Cancer Prevention Coalition, no ruling has been made. Cosmetic-grade talc remains non-regulated by the federal government."

MORE FROM CNN:
" Coal tar, found in eye shadow,  is also linked to cancer. Lipstick can contain high levels of artificial colorings made from coal tar derivatives, which can cause allergic reactions. FD&C color pigments are often made from coal tar, too."

Shocking Documentary
Entitled: Pink Ribbons, INC  released in 2011
This particular documentary helps us understand the reasons why we are sometimes left in the dark regarding the carcinogenic substances that are in make-up.

Cassia Essential Oils

Cassia tree, the oil is made from the bark.

Cassia in Scripture

We should all be impressed with Cassia Oil.   Cassia was an article of merchandise imported into Tyre by Greek merchants, so it wasn't cheep. (Ezekiel 27:19  )We know that it was of value by the ancient prophets and holy men of The Bible. There is another Hebrew word also rendered cassia, and that is "Oil of Gladness" Psalms 45:7- 8 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

Cassia is a close relative to Cinnamon Oil and smells very similar. Cassia cinnamon is primarily produced in Indonesia and has the stronger smell and flavor of the two varieties. This cheaper variety is what we usually buy in grocery stores to sprinkle on our apple pies or French toast. The two oils share many of the same properties.  Actual Cinnamon smells a bit sweeter and a bit milder. Cassia is sweet, spicy and warm, and stronger. Cassia oil is usually the least expensive of the two oils.   Cassia is mentioned in the Old Testament, in Exodus we learn that the Lord, did not consider the two oils the same however for he made a stipulation that the holy anointing oil contain both Cinnamon as well as Cassia.

Analyzing Psalms 45:7 ...( and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.) we see how the Psalmist is singing specifically about Cassia  used in Ivory places (such as temples) God does things for a reason, why do you suppose it was important that "High Places" smelled like Cassia Oil? The Holy places of the Old Testament smelled of Cassia Oil and this oil helped to make those entering feel of all other things - glad, it was the Oil of gladness.  The Lord himself sanctioning Cassia, because, among other things, besides just being holy - the Lord wanted Israel to be happy. Israel was known to complain (Murmur) a lot about unhappiness.

In the book, Emotions and Essential Oils, cassia is associated with gladness and strength. In fact it is suggested that you use Fractionated Coconut Oil as a carrier oil because of it's strength!  Also, one needs to be careful in diffusing Cassia because it can irritate the sinuses. It is simply strong! Remember it shouldn't be used if your pregnant or if you are nursing a child because it is a Anti-galactogogue: In other words this oil can reduce the secretion of milk. Also. don't use on a  young child (under 6) because of it's great strength.
Cassia's main root emotions are self- assurance, gladness and courage to the heart and soul! This makes sense, Cassia is up to 85% Cinamal Acitate, a chemical used used as a fixative in the manufacture of perfumes, which means its chemistry is a very strong
and the chemical properties hang around, on your clothing, and on your being.

Properties Associated with Cassia Oil
Anti-Depressant,
Anti-Emetic (stops vomiting)
Anti-Microbial (protects us from micro-organisms.)
Anti-Rheumatic or Arthritic (helps with rheumatism and arthritis)
Astringent, (strengthening hair, roots gums, muscles and tightens and uplifts skin and can also treat internal and external hemorrhaging because of it's astringency.
Anti-Viral (meaning stops viruses) it helps lowers body temperate (moves heat away from internal and out to the external body),
Stimulates the Metabolism and Increases Circulation.
Emenagogu, meaning it  relaxes menstrual cramps. Cassia also lends relief to symptoms of menses such as nausea, headaches & drowsiness.

Blends that contain Cassia are often associated with shielding effects. Protecting individuals from bacteria, molds and viruses.  Oils that strengthen the immune system also often contain either  Cassia . Hence, when you use Cassia you feel supported, and strengthened.

Historically Cassia was not easy for the Ancient Israel to find... Arabs transported cinnamon as well as cassia via cumbersome land routes, resulting in a limited, expensive supply that made the use of cassia or cinnamon a status symbol in Europe in the Middle Ages.

So, it wasn't an easy thing for God to demand it's use in the Holy Oil. He wanted it used for a reason... and when you realize it's properties, no wonder it was used in the temples, the Israelite needed it's strength, The use was  symbolic. It's strength was well known - The holy anointing oil in temples is associated with strength of the Lord.  Pslams 28:8 The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. "It brings new meaning to the the words "Strength of the Lord"

If you are still in doubt as to the reality of the properties or the emotions that can be derived from this strong oil imagine a winter day, no sun outside - gray, blowy, cold and wet.  Now, imagine making with your family Cinnamon rolls in your home, they are
baking in the oven, imagine you take a deep smell of the aroma - sweet, warm, spicy.  The smell of the Cassia. (Which smells like and often is Cassia, this being the cheaper spice is what we usually buy in grocery stores to sprinkle on our apple pies or French toast - what we think of as Cinnamon is usually Cassia)- but, back to the Cinnamon Rolls, does not the smell simply gladden your heart? You feel in your soul warmth, and support. Think of sipping a nice rich cup of steaming apple cider with it's soothing warmth and cinnamon like smells (again really cassia usually) it helping support you as you are suffering from a cold.
The smell of it surrounds the partaker.  If you can imagine this you can easily understand the idea of strength, support and happiness associated to the properties Cassia. It supports the soul, enlivens and gladdens heart and helps lift one out of grayness and into the light. That is probably why the Holy Oil contained it, Cassia lifts. The symbolism is striking! Cassia soothes, uplifts, gladdens and strengthens - God knew what he was doing, no surprise, he didn't just use Cassia for it's ability but for it's symbolism. God is the ultimate in multi-tasking!

Cassia literally is a gift of Strength and Gladness given us of the Lord!! Thank Heavens for Cassia!

Essential Oils and Back Pain

Do You Need Relief From Pain?

Back Pain is very difficult to deal with, Hilichrisum, Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Blue Tansy, Chamomile and osmanthus give relief. The Sciatic nerve is the longest and widest nerve in the human body. It runs from the lower back, through the buttocks, and down the legs, ending just below the knee. This nerve controls several muscles in the lower legs and allows that area to be sensitive to touch.  A friend of my friend Debbie was suffering from severe leg pains as well, often people suffering from Sciatica also suffer with pains down the Sciatic Nerve.

Debbie writes the following; "just this week I shared Deep Blue *a brand name of an oil from Doterra, with a lady who thought she was suffering with possible Sciatica." Now, Sciatica is a name given to any pain stemming from irritation of the sciatic nerve. Irritation of this nerve can cause many ranges of pain from mild to severe. Often, the term "sciatica" is confused with general back pain., and I don't know if this lady was experiencing Sciatica, or very severe back pain. But either way she came to the right person.

Debbie gave her Deep Blue from Doterra which contains the following ingredients: Wintergreen, camphor, peppermint, blue tansy, chamomile, helichrysum and osmanthus. These ingredients together ease achy joints and sore muscle. Helichrysum itself has the ability to alleviate pain on contact.  It contains cell regenerative properties as well due to the ketones, italidones, di-ketones and the sesquiterpenes-curcumenes.
Blue tansy is also a natural anti-inflammatory as is peppermint.  As you probably already know inflammation is the leading cause of much pain, though inflammation is often necessary for healing,  Neuroscientists at the Lerner Research Institute at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio found that inflammation actually helps to heal damaged muscle tissue.  Our infections, wounds and any damage to tissue would never health without inflammation - tissue would become more and more damaged. (you don;t move your back around a lot when it is hurting - and thus your body uses the time to repair) but conic inflammation causes the destructio of tissue, thickening and scaring of connective tissues (fibrosis and eventually death of cells and or tissues.  At this point anything able to reduce conic inflammation will usually reduce pain as well as help heal the injury, so long as you don't over do it again.
Wintergreen is 85-99% of methyl salicylate, an analgesic, the same as aspirin. (Some simply choose to use the chemically made compound of aspirin when we have a headache rather than use the god made thing.)  Wintergreen is also antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic.
Chamomile is a relaxing oil.  Relaxation is needed in order for repair cronic pain and dammaged tissue or cells.  When we are in pain we tend to tighten our muscles and in cronic situaltions this causes more damage, in this cas Chamomile helps combat the problem.
The effects of these particular oils in this combination, in case of cronic pain result in deep and penetrating  pain relief and comfort, and is often sustained very quickly. The long term effect however is what makes the difference, it reduces the inflammation of the area that is causing the real pain and thus is able to reduce the problem that is casing the Sciatica.
Debbie gave her A SAMPLE PACKET OF DEEP BLUE RUB a Doterra product. The very next morning this lady called and said to Debbie, "I THINK WE HAVE A WINNER!"

My Husband
My husband Chris suffers from Sciatica often as well.  He is a farmer, and has been for a long time.  He started farming at ten years old and never quit.  At 19 years old he paid the price and after suffering with a bulged disk did the only thing that he thought he could do and had surgery. So, part of his lower back has been fussed, this sometimes is a problem because other muscles tend to compensate for the lack of mobility in his lower back muscles.  He still farms, and sometimes his back will hurt. But he keeps the DEEP BLUE RUB on his side of the bed, always.  It has got him through some aches and pains. however, thank heavens, I can't remember the last time he stayed home with a bad back.  I'm glad we have the DEEP BLUE!

My Oldest Son
My son, who learned to work hard from his father, has had back problems as well.  His problems stem from a work related accident.  Sciatica surfaced with him as well.  He has one disk that is herniated and another just lower than that one that is partially herniated.  He is waiting to see if he can work out some natural things before turning to something as drastic as surgery.  Again DEEP BLUE to the rescue. At first we didn't use the rub, we didn't know about it - and we used the Deep Blue Oil - and if he ever feels really bad we revert back to the oils and a good massage, both the oil and the lotion have helped him immensely.  He and his wife are going camping this weekend - sleeping in a sleeping bag on the ground -  I hope he remembered to pack it with him!

DEEP BLUE makes a difference.  It not only relives pain but it reduces inflammation   Up to 90% of patients suffering from a herniated disk can be treated without back surgery.  This is according to many medical, chiropractic and therapeutic professionals.  Ask one.

My son's and my husbands problems are both located in the lower disks of the lumbar (lower) spine region.  Symptoms that they experience may be sudden or gradually but usually include:

Pain in one or both legs
Burning, tingling (a “pins–and–needles” sensation), or numbness in the buttock, leg, or foot
Pain with specific movements, usually bending forward or twisting - (sometimes a slimple twist can bring on the pain.)
Intensified pain with prolonged sitting, bending, sneezing, or coughing
Weakness in one or both legs

Often, the symptoms of a herniated disc cab be resolve gradually with modification of activity, analgesic and anti-inflammatory products, such as oils, and physical therapy and exercises to strengthen muscles and re-teach muscles. Christopher is going to the chiropractor and we are using the DEEP BLUE and it is working, hence he feels good enough to sleep on the ground!
