Oregano Oil kills Noro-virus

What does Pizza have to do with Nero-Virus?

A new study from the College of Agriculture and Life Science at University of Arizona confirms what essential oil users have already known.  Oregano Oil is Antibacterial and can kill Noro-virus. Oregano oil has the ability to break down the tough outer shell of the outer coat of the virus.

Today (Feb 18th, 2014) on talk radio my son heard the news and text-ed me this particular message.
Christopher: "Mom, did you know that Oregano Oil is Anti-bacterial."
Me: "yes, it helped my friend Julie's granddaughter to get over RSV and when your sister had West Nile virus (after watching the sunset on the lake, she had come home with tons of mosquito bites and 3 days later had symptoms of high fever and headache and was throwing up) I put it down her back and she got over it. Why do you ask?"
Christopher: "They just said on Talk Radio, that on a Cruse Ship, when a Nero-Virus broke out they had everyone eat pizza, because of the antibacterial effects of the oregano oil helped stop the spread of the virus." (See the story USnews.com)
Me:  "Yes, and it is surprisingly inexpensive. Often it is very strong and you need to use a carrier oil such as fracionated coconut oil with it.  I did apply it to Jessica neet (meaning I didn't use the carrier oil).

Christopher and Gavin had a touch of the flu one time and I had given both he and my younger son Gavin Oregano oil in their water to swallow internally.  They both got rid of the flu, but only after throwing up everything in their stomach.  It was pretty dramatic, and to this day Gavin and Christopher still remembers the taste.  It was a very bad experience. It is a very strong oil, I feel badly that I didn't know that back then and didn't simply rub a little on their feet. Somehow our feet can handle stronger oils. Oregano oil has helped us through the flu a number of times after this, I use it on my feet often.  I haven't yet diffused it, but I hear that is a good idea, I just don't like the smell so much.

I was surprised when I got the next text.
Christopher:  "Yeah.  Sounds like it's a good oil to have around, how much would one be?"

Me:  "As a distributor I can get a 25ml bottle of Oregano Oil for $24.00. and it lasts forever.  It also is an oil that is contained in a family physician kit in a 5ml bottle"

Family Physican kit Includes 5 mL Essential Oils: Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint, Melaleuca, Oregano, Frankincense, Deep Blue®, Breathe, DigestZen®, and On Guard to help families address a multitude of health issues.

Turns out that Oregano Oil does work!  Sometimes the easiest and cheapest thing is the best thing.
